1. First of all a recap of class today.

We looked at Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres’s painting Oedipus and the Sphinx.

We also discussed the typical Greek amphitheater space that the plays were performed in, as well as the origins of drama, especially in the city-state of Athens.
